About this Cook
I was borned and raised in Clarksville, Tenn. Now I live in Pensacola Florida. My husband Bob and I have five grown daughters. Last Dec. we adopted a 3 year old boy and have been foster parent for 5 years. We love being foster parents and living in Florida.I am a nurse and Bob is in the PGA.
My favorite things to cook
All food. We grill out alot. I have over a hundred cook books and at the present my sister is putting together a family cook book which I have put all my favorites in.
My favorite family cooking traditions
southern cooking
My cooking triumphs
My sisters and I put together a family cookbook. Mama's Kitchen. In it we wrote comments about recipes and even had memories about our childhood and family. It was a great success. Since so many family members have had breast cancer we donated all the earnings to the Breast Cancer Assoc. It was a very emotional experience. I hope that we do another because it sold out so fast.

Pizza Pinwheels
I made these today after seeing the picture. My 7 year old and hubby both loved them. So easy to make just took half the crescent rolls flaten them out covered them with 3 slices of mozzarella chesse then topped it with the pepperoni rolled it up sliced it into 8 slices and bake. Once you get them rolling up it was nothing to it. Will keep this one for sure and make often. Would be great for carry ins or showers. Then again tailgate parties would also be a great place to serve them. Thanks again for a quick and easy recipe.

Best Bread Machine Bread
When my 6 year old eats half the loaf I have to give it 5 stars. I did follow the advise of others and added 1.5 tea salt. It is the best bread recipe I have found and I have been cooking bread for 15 years. Soft with a flaky crust just like they said. Thank you Diggetydog so much.

Boston Baked Beans
These are better than the recipe that is kept a secret by the dog. The only thing I can say is that it takes two hours for the beans to get tender and I did what someone else did and doubled the sauce. They were a big hit. Thanks so much no more buying baked beans in this house.
