I love to cook. I have my 9 1/2 month old son who can't wait to eat "real" food and my husband and father love having an original homecooked meal every night. I have enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen since I was eleven or twelve. I would just pick up a cook book and decide to try and make something. I thank my husband for broadening my horizon on different foods and types of food. My cooking philosophy is a little of this a little of that; which tends to get interesting when someone asks me for a recipe for something I've created. I feel as though cooking should be somewhat off of instinct. and trial and error. I Love to make Chocolate chip cookies. And I love to try to duplicate dishes I've had elsewhere with my own twist. I love making Christmas cookies just before Thanksgiving with my mother, sisters and our children. It's great to get us all in the kitchen together and then have cookie decorating contests. Getting my husband to eat and enjoy foods that he said he would never eat or like. Putting my own personal spin on recipes I find to make them more of mine. When I was in elementary school I was trying to make an old-world cookie and I accidently put one cup of salt instead of one teaspoon. Needless to say the cookies were very interesting.
