Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)
Good base, but bland. Definitely needs to be cooked in broth and cumin and cinnamon both make nice additions.

Sesame Noodles
Delicious! I used vegetable instead of safflower, and added about half the amount of oil and sugar. Otherwise, followed the recipe exactly, added some steamed broccoli, and got a ton of compliments. Everyone at the potluck loved it.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake
Delicious! I left out the coconuts and added a little extra carrot but other than that, followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. I made it for my boyfriend's parents and they absolutely loved it.
