Been married for over 26 years and have 3 sons, ages 13, & 10 yr old twins. I am currently working on 28+ years in the Army Reserve. My family and I love to travel and I am always on the look out for a good food! I love to entertain and usually host a large summer cookout, a hugh Halloween party, and a small Christmas get together, plus, there's always birthday parties to prepare for. I know I'm really going to hate it when my boys are "too old" for parties. I love to bake; everything from bread to pie. I have standard recipes that I love to use, expecially at parties and during the holidays, many coming from this site. Sometimes I think all the people who come to our parties and cookouts come for the food more than they come to visit. Not killing my husband when we first got married with my cooking. Can't really pinpoint one particular case, but I'm sure in involved trying out a new recipe for the first time when I was having guest.....lesson learned.....stick with the tried and true for special events and try the new stuff out when no one is around!
