About this Cook
Self taught cook - I have learned from almost everyone in my life.
My favorite things to cook
Fajitas! Garlic Mashed Potatoes! Steak! Asian cuisine - southwestern cuisine. I love to mix it up and try new twists to ordinary recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up eating cereal for dinner - so I learned how to cook fairly early... so I could eat a decent meal. Ever since then, I have been on a quest to create a meal that would knock anyone's socks off.
My cooking triumphs
Fajitas and Garlic mashed potatoes
My cooking tragedies
Sometimes my experiments go haywire and some unfortunate soul has to be the guinny pig!

Grilled Chicken with Herbs
Ok, I didn't care for the flavor of this chicken, but my husband enjoyed it so much he asked me to make it again. I followed the recipe exactly, except I used 1/3 Vinegar as suggested. I thought the rosemary was overpowering and my husband thought it was perfect. I guess it's a matter of taste.

Garlic-Cilantro Scrambled Eggs
This is a nice variation to the boring scrambled egg. I made it exactly as written - here is what I will change next time I make it: instead of garlic, I will use garlic powder, I will add chopped onion and omit the parm cheese. A little hot sauce, and I think it will be perfect! I eat an egg everyday and was looking for a new way to prepare - this is the perfect canvass to build on in my opinion. (I didn't use the full amount of cilantro)
