Mini Chip Snowball Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
I used walnuts as the nut and thought the chocolate chips totally overwhelmed where you couldn't taste the walnuts. Some of my cookies were larger and the middles didn't get done. I was hoping you could taste the nuts more, so only gave this a '3'. Very similar to choc chip cookies.

Scalloped Potatoes I

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
I thought these turned out average. I made the recipe a little differently which may account for why I didn't care for the flavor as much. I used red potatoes. I also doubled the recipe and was worried about it taking too long to bake, so I boiled the potatoes first before slicing them. I thought the potatoes overwhelmed the cheese flavor. Also thought there was nothing special about the cheese flavor. It is easy to make, though!

Sweet Potato Casserole V

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Since I made this for Easter, I substituted 2% milk for the eggnog. It has a wonderful flavor and the topping makes a nice crust to go along with the sweet potato. I did place it under the broiler for a few minutes to get the top a little crisper. I will definitely make again!

Spinach Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
I loved the taste of these eggs. I took them to my work holiday party. They didn't go as quickly as the traditional deviled eggs. I think people were scared off by the 'green' in them. I thought they were wonderful, though!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
This recipe had a very good flavor. The sauce wasn't as thick as I expected. I couldn't tell when the cranberries 'popped' so just cooked them until they had cooked down some.

Summer Garden Pork Chops

I didn't care for this recipe at all. My husband liked it more than me. I didn't like the combination of spices.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
I put my butter in the microwave and it was liquified when I made the recipe. Not sure if this was what made the dough too sticky. I didn't have time to stick it in the fridge to see if it would firm up, so I just added 1/2 cup more flour. They still turned out wonderful!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
These cookies are very good and soft! I only had 1 box of vanilla pudding last time I made them, and it still turned out great.

Flip-Flop Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
This cobbler was pretty good. I made it with blackberries instead of peaches. My topping didn't rise to the top as I expected.

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
This recipe is excellent! The best thing I've tried on this website. The spinach and tomatoes aren't enough for a side dish. More of something to eat on top of the chicken. This would be great with spaghetti and red sauce on the side!

Herbal Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
I didn't find anything special about this recipe. Maybe my spices are just old, but I didn't think they did much for the tuna salad.

My Crab Cakes

This recipe was delicious. I broiled the crab cakes, so omitted rolling them in cracker crumbs. They were very good! Would definitely make again!

Musaka

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2004
I cooked the potatoes for 5 min as suggested. I also drained the fat from the beef after it cooked. Adding water made it way too soupy so I had to bake it for an extra 20 min to get some of the water off. Taste was average.

Pork Chops with Apples, Onions, and Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2004
This recipe is simple and very good! To make it healthier, I added some carrots and used 2 tbl. Splenda and 1 tbl. of brown sugar. I also sprinkled cinnamon over everything. Cooking it for 1hr 15 min made everything a little too mushy. I think it depends on how small you cut everything up.
