About this Cook
I grew up in Georgetown, Ky and moved to Cincinnati when I was 18 to be with my (now) husband. We got married 11-24-07 and just bought our first home in September '08. Life is good, but the kitchen is tiny.
My favorite things to cook
I like to find new ways to trick my husband into eating (and liking!) vegetables. I love making pot roasts, any kind of chicken, and especially casseroles and soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandparents own a hunting lodge in Pennsylvania, and every deer season my grandmother, mother, and I would go to cook for the hunters. I love going to my sister's house and showing her new ways to trick her husband into eating veggies!
My cooking triumphs
Spinach & Artichoke dip Broccoli Cheese Soup Homemade Chicken noodle soup Macaroni and cheese Pork roast (Hopefully) Thanksgiving 2008. Wish me luck! :)
My cooking tragedies
I have tried & failed at many, many cookie recipes. Also a roasted vegetable recipe that turned out pretty horrible. It had great reviews so I assume I did something wrong...

Broccoli Casserole III
I got this recipes from my aunt years ago...My husband loves broccoli, and this is my favorite way to make it. It's so easy! I always make sure to drain my broccoli very well, so the cheese doesn't come out watery.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce
This was great, I made it for Thanksgiving last night and thought my brother-in-law was going to lick the dish clean! I used equal amounts of balsamic and soy, and I do want to try this on green beans, as another reviewer mentioned.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe
I have made this a few times now. It is definitely better if you roast the garlic like other reviewers have said. I also used less butter than it called for and added some milk instead. Other than those changes, this recipe is perfect!
