About this Cook
I grew up in Georgetown, Ky and moved to Cincinnati when I was 18 to be with my (now) husband. We got married 11-24-07 and just bought our first home in September '08. Life is good, but the kitchen is tiny.
My favorite things to cook
I like to find new ways to trick my husband into eating (and liking!) vegetables. I love making pot roasts, any kind of chicken, and especially casseroles and soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandparents own a hunting lodge in Pennsylvania, and every deer season my grandmother, mother, and I would go to cook for the hunters. I love going to my sister's house and showing her new ways to trick her husband into eating veggies!
My cooking triumphs
Spinach & Artichoke dip Broccoli Cheese Soup Homemade Chicken noodle soup Macaroni and cheese Pork roast (Hopefully) Thanksgiving 2008. Wish me luck! :)
My cooking tragedies
I have tried & failed at many, many cookie recipes. Also a roasted vegetable recipe that turned out pretty horrible. It had great reviews so I assume I did something wrong...

Parmesan Chicken II
I was not expecting so much flavor for such a simple recipe! I gave a copy of this to my roommate (it was her turn to cook) and she followed the recipe exactly. It's so inexpensive and tasty, we'll be making this one a lot!

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta
My husband loved this! The first time I made it I thought it was too sweet, so the second time I added a little more salt and a little less sugar. Pureed in the blender and added shrimp and red pepper flakes.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries
This recipe is so easy and inexpensive; and my roommate, brother, husband, and I all loved it! I will definitely be making this over and over again.
