Gobble Up Granola Snacks

I made these and shared them at work. Everyone loved them, especially this one guy, so for his next birthday I made him a batch. He was very happy! Very simple and versatile...I like to add different things each time like sunflower seeds, goji berries and wheat germ.

Apple Dumpling Cake

I loved the look of this recipe. My topping looked like tiny crumble pieces...not like the picture that is posted. It actually looked like something you'd buy at a bakery...beautiful! However, I only gave this 4 stars b/c I think something needs to be added to the apples. I added brown and white sugar, flour, cinnamon and lemon juice and it still wasn't a very sweet apple pie/crumble...it was a little bland. That said, my apples weren't naturally sweet, but even with sweet apples, I think some sugar and spices would enhance this recipe. All in all, I was pleased when I ate it with vanilla ice cream...and my guests liked it too!

Grilled Pizza Wraps

I loved this b/c it was easy, quick and yummy! I only used 1 tortilla and folded it in half...that was enough for just me. I didn't have pepperoni so I used mozzarella and sauce which tasted great! I fried at medium heat, which was low enough to allow the cheese to melt and not burn the outside. Next time I will try different fillings!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Really really good! Even my boyfriend, who doesn't like soup, thought this was great! This was my first time making soup and it was surprisingly easy! I think it would be hard to go wrong with this one. I'll make this again and again!!

Maria's Rice

I make this over and over again. It's my favourite rice and perfect for entertaining! It's easy and always comes out perfectly. I've used the canned soup, but I find the dry onion mix plus 1 cup of water has a bit more flavour...and less expensive. But both ways are great!!

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Love this salad!! My boyfriend is now addicted to broccoli!! However, I don't use bacon, but I use bacon bits and add nuts and raisins. SO good!!

Libby's® Pumpkin Cheesecake

I have tried numerous pumpkin recipes (cakes, cookies, etc.) and this is the best cheesecake! It is not only thick and beautiful, but also very smooth and yummy! I did make one error--instead of adding 2/3 of the milk, I added the entire can! However, the cake was still tastey. I can't wait to try it the proper way. Imagine how much more delicious it will be then!!

Pumpkin Cake I

I am thrilled with this cake!! It has so much spicy flavour and is super moist! I don't usually have luck with cakes made from scratch but this cake is the exception. It even tastes great a couple days later!! My family and co-workers loved it!!

Golden Sponge Cake

Like another reviewer, I also had trouble cutting, then reassembling the cake. I think it would be much easier to use two 9inch cake pans instead. However, I will not be trying this one again b/c my filling turned out to be lumpy and runny and I followed the instructions exactly. As well, all of my ingredients were at room temperature so I don't know what went wrong. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with this recipe.

Fabulous Oatmeal-Bran Cake

I was looking for a healthier cake (than the norm) when I stumbled upon this one. Since the reviews are so positive I decided to try it, even though I thought it might be dry. I discovered, however, that this cake is super moist and very tasty!! I added vanilla (like other reviewers) and some raisins. My super picky brother even liked it, which says a lot about this cake!! It's definitely worth a try.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

I really don't understand why this recipe was rated so high. My muffins came out very heavy and tasteless, so I just ate the cream cheese off the top. Maybe I did something wrong. However, another person reported the same thing.

Simple White Cake

Why do people rave over this cake? There are several recipes on this site for white cake that taste just like this one and they are so heavy and dry! It's not a bad cake but I'm looking for a light and moist white cake and this is just not it.

Could these be any easier and any tastier? These cookies do exactly what they claim to do--melt in your mouth! I shared them with my family and boyfriend's family and all loved them. Someone even thought I bought them from a bakery!

Easy Pancakes

I like pancakes and have tried several different recipes, but this one is by far the best! I love them! They are fluffy and sweet (but not too sweet). They have a lovely aftertaste that is kinda like eating a flavourful cake. Mmmmmm, this is my number one pancake recipe from now on!

Mom's Best Waffles

I was shocked to discover that these waffles were tasteless! Considering the good reviews I had high hopes! I will NOT try this recipe again because there just HAS to be better out there. In fact the Aunt Jemima mix is better even though it comes from a box.

Bee Lian's Rich Orange Cake

This cake is light and buttery and oh so good! I have tried many, many recipes on this site and this was one of the best cakes I've found. I leave out the zest and it tastes just perfect!
