Best Brownies

Very good brownies. Come out perfect every time even if I'm running short on a few of the ingredient amounts. Once I didn't have quite enough butter, still perfect. Twice I only used one egg. Still perfect. Love this recipe.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

This is the best potato soup I've ever had. I put a slice of processed swiss cheese (creamier than the hard kind) in the bottom of the bowl, added hot soup and stirred a bit to blend in the cheese....wonderful!

West Tennessee Corn Bread

Great as written but the second time I used just a tad of sugar and extra salt, replaced 1/3 of the cornmeal with flour, added finely chopped onion, and a little onion powder, dropped teaspoons full into the deep fryer and had the best HUSHPUPPYS I've ever made. The mayo was just the touch I needed! Thanks

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Layer this in a large pizza pan. Bean mixture, cream cheese/sour cream mixture, salsa, lettuce, cheese, green onion, tomato, black olives. Looks fantastic and you can dip through all seven layers at once.

Bachelor Grilled Cheese

Great idea...but if you find yourself with no stove, microwave, or toaster you can butter 2 slices of bread, put cheese in the middle then wrap in tin foil and lay a hot iron on both sides. Works great and makes a flat but "normal" tasting grilled cheese.

I decreased the white sugar and mixed the wet and dry ingredients separately like in some basic muffin recipes and these were still very, very good.
