About this Cook
I love to eat and love to cook so need I say more. As far as food goes I try incorporation lower fat and carb substitutes, but I must admit there is nothing like the real thing like butter and cream. Althought I am from the North I can eat anything Paula Dean makes. Homey and comfort food with a great desert. That is my kind of meal.
My favorite things to cook
Anything sweet like Cakes and Cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I would not consider this a tradition but my Mom made the best Stuffed Cabbage. All I remember was she used sweet and sour salt. She never measured anything. I have yet to find a recipe that even comes close.
My cooking triumphs
Italian Sauces foods, salads,and cakes.
My cooking tragedies
When I was just learning to cook I made what I called "Killer Tomato Sauce w/Meatballs" I was cooking for 12 friends. I decided to cut down on the sugar and replace with sweet & low. Well, need I say more. The 1/4 cup was all sweet & low. Yuk! Till this day I am reminded about this recipe.

Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing
Yum Yum. I used EVOO and also replaced surgar with splendor. This is great on spinish salad. Will also used with other salads I make.

Pashka
OMG this was so simple and so good. I also did not use currents. I soften rasins and used them. You can subsituted almost any fruit or just leave out.

Balsamic Vinaigrette
Simple and Easy. Has a little zest. I used regular balsamic. Can be used as a basic and experiment with other vinagers. In which I plan to do.
