Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
I've been using this recipe for years. These cookies are always in our cookie jar now. For those who complain about them being crumbly it's the cook time. These cookies are really hard to tell when done- it seems they either burn or undercook. It usually takes a couple of tries to know your oven's effect on this recipe. Also be sure to cool, but remove from tray while cookies are still warm. Smaller cookies = less mess. I also like to press these down with the bottom of a glass lightly dipped in sugar. Hats off to this recipe!

Great and simple recipe. Will make again. Just watch the bottoms or they tend to burn if too much butter or sugar gets down to the bottom of the pan.

Great recipe. Added one scoop of vanilla ice cream to glass instead of ice cube and garnished with whipped topping and shaved chocolate. Very flexible drink.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
I found this pie to be a bit runny, but the flavor was perfect. The second time I made it with a lattice crust and just poured the excess liquid out the top when it was done baking. Shameful, I know, but the pie recipe is a true winner!

The best brownies I've ever tasted. I add a splash of milk to the glaze and that makes a grand difference. Dine on!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

This is great. Excellent flavor for a dish so quick and flexible. I can throw in tuna or chicken or shrimp to give it some extra substance. I've even thrown in corn or peas with the meat and served it casserole style. Guests and family always love it!

Orange Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2006
Geez, this was great! I cut the soy sauce by about half and instead of using orange juice I put a peeled and seeded orange in my blender. The pulp cooked down and then BAM the fresh orange really came out. I'm adding this to the recipe box for sure.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Awesome muffins. I may have tweaked the sugar amount in the topping giving it more than the recipe called for but these went fast. I make them for my preschooler's class as mini-muffins and the teachers always rave about the snacks that day.

A great salad! My family isn't big on bell peppers or dill pickles so I left that out. Followed everything else to the letter and I will be making this again...and again! :)

I'm just not sure what to say about this gravy...it's good but it seemed for all the clogged arties that come with it there would have been a lil wow to it.

Breakfast Casserole III

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
I so did not find this edible, but everyone else picked at it and ate it. It must have been me...the eggs puffed up swell, the potatoes took forever and a day to cook thinnly sliced. I threw in some onion and another cup of mozzarella cheese. If I ever made it again, which I won't, I'd use a spicy sausage to kick up the flavor, crumble bacon on top, and layer the sides with halved biscuit dough and glazed the whole thing with milk or garlic butter.

Easy Candy Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
Okay, this recipe has potential it is divine but it needs MAJOR re-writing. First off, get a bigger dish 9x9 doesnt even have to be square.Use cooked yams or canned yams (drained) and increase the 4 cups to about 6 or 7. Mash them...not chop. Leave out the butter (unless greasing the sides of your dish to keep the marshmallows from sticking. Double the amount of marshmallows and Broil them under a guarded eye for a heavenly browning. Do this and the dish will be the best thing you ever tasted. If not then you will get a big bowl of uncooked potatoes swimming in grease.

Old Fashioned Spice Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
I'd never even heard of this type of pie, but that's probably because heaven doesnt want all its recipes getting away from it. Superb downright celestial pie. I made it with the French Pastry Pie Crust recipe. My family (which just tolerates pie normally) preferred this over cheesecake!!!! That was a shock! Watch your baking time on this pie very closely. A little under time is better than too much I think.
