great recipe, I added a cup of Ande's Peppermint chips and lazily put the whole thing in a 9x12, adjusted the cook time. They were chewy and minty, and GONE!

I was lazy and threw the whole thing into a 13 x 9 pan, then put a handful of choc chips I had leftover on top. They were gone in a flash. I have been bugged for more for a couple of weeks now. Thanks for a new family favorite.

It was a great recipe. I did not use shortening. I used oil. I only use shortening in pastry. Other than that it turned out great. Thanks. I had a hard time finding the recipe on this site. Wish the title was changed. The search function on this site didn't find it, but google found out when I gave up and went looking elsewhere.
