Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I read what a hit this salad was, but I was shocked at how fast it went! I cheated. I used precooked bacon bits (in a bag in the salad dressing section of the store). Didn't toast the sunflower seeds, either. I added a handful of shredded cheese for color. Mixed it all up the night before...YUMMY! Will make again...and again...and again!!!!

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
This recipe turned out good, was easy to prepare, and is flexible with the ingredients. I added black beans, about a cup or so of frozen corn, and replaced the tomato soup with a jar of salsa. Next time I plan to add a little Velveeta into the mixture. I also placed the cheese on top THEN added crused tortilla chips. My husband said more cheese and chips next time! What a great way to use up any leftover taco meat!

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Call it what you want, but this recipe was a huge hit with the family! My son said it was the "best lasagna" I had ever made! The great thing about this recipe is you can't mess it up! Use more of the ingredients you like, leave out what you don't. I added a lot more cheese and mixed it in with the meat. I also placed pepperoni under the top layer of cheese. Really, this recipe is a family/crowd pleaser. It's not fancy...it's good and EASY!!!!!!!

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
This was so amazing! I did not make the gravy, but used this as the breading. I accidently put all dry ingredients together and all wet...not as the directions say...but it still turned out wonderful with lots of rave reviews. I used a better cut of meat and had the butcher run it thru the machines...didn't even need a knife to cut the steak! NO KIDDING!!!! The Tobasco does not make the flavoring hot at all, just gives is a very distinctive and enjoyable flavor. This one is a keeper for sure!

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This works very well, especially for bigger crowds! I use a Pampered Chef bar pan. You can also pour pancake mix onto a bar pan and bake then cookie cut or pizza cut the pancakes when done! Another crowd pleaser!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2008
We just had this tonight and not only was it "easy" it was so yummy! I added taco seasoning (along with some garlic salt and onion flakes) to the meat. I used actual "chili beans" although it would be good with refried beans, too. My husband doesn't like onions or olives, so I left those out. On top of the sour cream layer I added a layer of canned pickled jalepeno's (like on nachos). OMG!!! We ate it with some of the corn chips on the side and it was a big hit! I think next time we will use cut up corn tortillas instead of the crushed corn chips (which I left whole thinking this would prevent them getting soggy) and will try to layer a few times similar to lasagna. Would be great served with some grilled pineapple, too! Thanks for a great recipe!

This is good and very easy! I used onion flakes and then added about a tsp or so (a few shakes) of Woostershire Sauce. Yummy! Thanks for a great addition to my recipe file!

Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
This recipe was not only wonderful tasting, it was so very easy to make. We did add a little more corn just to make it a little less "creamy" and did not add the cheese. It was incredible. Thanks for a great recipe!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

I love this dessert! I'm certainly no chef, but this is always a huge hit at gatherings. It's an easy to follow recipe but turns out looking and tasting like a masterpiece! I make the changes recommended by other users (increasing the coffee/Kaluha)and it's always wonderful! Thanks for the great recipe!

Gooey Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2004
Everyone loves this dessert! I cut into small squares and placed in paper cup cake lines. It made for a nice presentation and easy to eat on the go at parties. I followed the advice of other reviewers and cut back on the sugar a little!

This is a big hit even with my very picky step-children! I used stuffing instead of breadcrumbs. Very easy and very yummy!
