Kalacs (Hungarian Cinnamon Swirl Bread)

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
This is fantastic cinnamon bread. It makes the best french toast, too. I've received many compliments and my kids beg for me to make it. A great comfort food for winter. Made the dough in my breadmaker then followed rest of recipe as written. Highly recommend.

Ice Cream Sandwich Desserts

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
This is fantastic! I modify the layers a bit which makes it even easier to prepare. I put 1 layer of sandwiches, 1 jar of caramel sauce, another layer of sandwiches, 1 jar of hot fudge sauce then all the whipped topping on top. I usually finish with 3 crushed toffee candy bars. We call it ice cream lasagna. You won't be disappointed!

Spinach Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
I didn't care for these. The flavor of the stuffing mix overpowered the spinach -- couldn't even taste the spinach. 2 cups of crushed stuffing mix is way too much - maybe should have been 2 cups measured out THEN crushed?? These just tasted like stuffing balls. I may try again but use entire 16 oz bag of spinach and measure the 2 cups of stuffing then crush. I gave it 2 stars because my husband liked them.

Chocolate Pretzels

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2005
Very easy. Great for kids to help. You can find round pretzels online. I put pretzels on parchment paper otherwise they stick to pan (learned the hard way!). I bake for 2 min at 275 degrees. Take out of oven and gently wiggle pan to help chocolate "stick" to pretzel and flatten out. I add M&M then refrigerate for about 30 minutes to harden. Remove from pan and keep refrigerated (helps keep chocolate from turning white on top).
