Jalapeno Popper Spread
Made a trial batch for the family before the super bowl tomorrow, and it was great. I used 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream. Added garlic and onion powder. Perfect. I used to own a diner in the Chicago area and Jalapeno Poppers were one of our top sellers. These are just as good, and not deep fried.

Slow Cooker Italian Sausage Subs
I have made similar versions of this recipe before. I use 1.5lbs of spicy italian sausage....bought locally in denver. 3 bell peppers (red, orange, yellow) 2 medium yellow onions. I add lots of fresh garlic. crushed red pepper, italian herbs, salt and pepper. Broil hoagie rolls with cheese and seasoned salt. serve with a slotted spoon. I also carmalized onions to go on the side. pepperocinis too. high on the cockpot 3hrs low 6-8. You cannot go wrong with this wonderful dish. Use over spaghetti/rice the day after.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce
Loved this recipe. First, browning the sausage in a pan before throwing them in the crock pot is a must. I used a can of crushed tomatoes instead of pasta sauce. I found that the dish comes out too sweet with pasta sauce. I also added a bunch of fresh garlic, pepper and italian herbs. I toasted the buns in the oven with provolone cheese and some seasoned salt. Served the sandwiches with "hot gardinera" peppers...just like they would back home in Chicago. Always a hit. I thought my pregnant sister was going to eat the whole thing by herself!!!
