Budget friendly and DELICIOUS! I honestly didn't realize there was a recipe for this, as we've been making it as a weekly staple in our household for so long! I stumbled onto this digging for more yummy lentil recipes, and couldn't pass up encouraging everyone to try it! This is pretty much how I make Mujadarrah, sometimes I toss in curry powder or coconut milk for added 'oomph'. SUCH an easy dish to make, the height of convenience food without the ingredients! We'll definitely try a dash of cinnamon next time just for fun, I'm sure it'll fit in perfectly. Thanks for taking the time to share this, I hope everyone gives it a try!

Excellent! Made it by recipe the first time, perfection! The second time I was out of sugar so I used about 1/2 cup brown sugar and the rest I used Blackstrap Molasses. I also accidentally put baking powder in before I realized it and added baking soda. The molasses made it a bit sticky, so I stirred in some ground flaxseed to 'sticky it up. It still came out perfect! Next time I might add some cocoa powder too, but they still came out perfectly!!! Thanks for sharing, this is THE perfect recipe!

Most waffle recipes are dense...this one turned out light and fluffy, perfect! The second time we made them we did brown sugar instead of white, and doubled the vanilla, and used raw milk. Even fluffier than before! Great recipe, thanks for sharing it!
