About this Cook
My two favorite hobbies in the world are cooking and photography. I started cooking when I was in kindergarden (with the help of my mom of course), and I haven't stopped since. I love to impress people with my dishes and cook everything from quick and easy for weeknight dinners to gourmet dinners.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are cakes. I have made some awesome creation for my daughters bithday parties, everything from pink castle cakes to undersea worlds.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions is preparing Thanksgiving dinner. That's when I go all out.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph was a torte I made for my daughters christening. It was a very fance berry torte and I was told that I would never be able to pull it off (I was told the same thing the first year I tried the pink castle cake). Anyway, the torte turned out spectacular and I was so proud of myself.
My cooking tragedies
My worst cooking experience was when my husband came home Christmas Day 2004 late in the evening after being away on a trip for several weeks. I wanted to surprise him with a great goulash, but I don't know what happened. It was totally burned and dry. I had nothing else in the house and since all the stores were closed, he had to eat it. I felt very embarrassed. By now we can laugh about it, but I have never tried to cook him goulash again.

Win's Shrimp and Spaghetti
This recipe was awful. I managed to save it by adding flour and milk to the butter sauce, until the consistency was just right. I also added one can of condensed tomato soup for flavor. After all those changes it did taste really good. Would not make again.

German Lemon Cake
This lemon cake was the best! My family was literally fighting over the last piece. Excellent! Will make all the time now. Thank you!
