About this Cook
Stay-at-home mom of two boys (yikes!) and I have my own direct sales business; love to cook (and eat!), but short on time some days; like quick, easy & tasty recipes from Allrecipes.com
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, pasta dishes, well, just about anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a Croatian & Italian family and I enjoyed homemade pastas, sausages, sauces (gravy) and lamb done on a spit - yum! My grandparents & parents are wonderful cooks and they have exposed our family to many tastes.
My cooking triumphs
One killer of a three-pepper lasagna!
My cooking tragedies
Purple chicken (well, more like lavender), looked so disgusting that my husband wouldn't touch it :(

Catherine's Sirloin Tip Roast
This came out PERFECTO! I used one reviewer's suggestion: poured a 1/4 c. worchestershire sauce over the roast, then course salt & pepper. I was afraid of trying a str, but I'll make this again & again -- thanks!

Jayme's Cole Slaw
This slaw is SWEET (tasting, I mean)...little too much for me, but the hubby liked it fine. Will make again, but will cut back on the brown sugar & cider vinegar a bit. Also, I liked the ease of preparation.

Simple Time Pork Chops
Melting the butter & using a basting brush and having a squirt bottle type mayo makes quick prep time. Worked okay using asst'd cut, bone-in chops too. It's a good base recipe; wil add add'l seasoning next time.
