King Ranch Chicken Casserole I

Just about the perfect dish to take to a pot luck. So E-Z to make!!! Put this down on the buffet table and it was gone in 5 min.

White Chocolate Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
The husband really liked these. He is a big fan of white chocolate chips. I thought the subtle orange flavor was very nice. The only change I made was to squeeze half of the orange into the dough after zesting.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
There is a reason these have such a high rating...they are really GOOD!!! However, they also are huge! I was only able to make about 15 cookies with my dough. I think these would be fun to take to a party or make to give to someone as a gift---but, unfortunally my kids blew through these in one night, 2 cookies a piece and they where gone! :)

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
Was a very yummy & easy side to our grilled bugers. I agree with many of the other reviewers & think the butter can be cut down on some without sacrificing flavor. I used a mixture of jack cheese, sharp cheddar and american cheese. Perfect for a large group---could easily be kept warm in a crock pot.

Fabulous Roasted Cauliflower Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
This was pretty good....but, seemed kind of bland. I missed having cheese with my cauliflower :). Next time I think I'd add some shredded cheese on top.

Hot Onion Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Super yummy....Since this is what I had on hand, these are the amounts I used: 1-8oz. cream cheese, 1 sm. onion, 1-2 cup parm cheese, 1/2 c. mayo. As many suggested, I sauted my finely chopped onion in a tad of butter before adding to rest of ingred. Was the first thing to go at the buffet table.

Simple, Classic Chicken Potpie

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
Classic comfort food! I made my own crust...so easy: 2 cups all purpose white flour, 2 1/2 t. salt, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup cold milk, waxed paper. Place flour and salt in small mixing bowl. Measure milk and oil, then pour together over flour. Quickly stir with a fork (do not over mix). Press dough into ball--do not knead and cut ball in half. Working with each half, press into flattened circle and place between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Using a rolling pin, roll each dough half to size needed to cover pie plate. Remove top waxed paper and using bottom paper to assist, flip crust over onto pie plate. Then remove second wax paper.

Balsamic Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
This was very good, rich sauce. Served with AR's Garlic Chicken. Next time, I think I will just add chicken strips to the pasta and sauce. Since the sauce was so rich, it needed a less seasoned chicken.

Stef's Super Cheesy Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
This was very, very rich. My guests liked it, but, I prefer a plain garlic bread. I served it with spaghetti & meatballs and thought it overpowered the already heavy meal---I think it would work better with a lightly flavored soup (or something like that).

Simple Carnitas

So good! So easy! And as a bonus...economical. I threw the whole shoulder in the crock pot & shredded later. Note to self: next time only get 4-5 lbs.--8 lbs was way too big.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

This was excellent! I will definitely be making it again & again. I was very juicy & seasoned wonderfully--I didn't make any changes to this recipe. Quick & easy dinner. Made nice chicken noodle soup the next day with the leftovers.

Wedge Salad with Elegant Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
The dressing was awesome. It would be good with wings or chicken nuggets too. I felt the salad was lacking something for it to work with the very strong blue cheese dressing. I think it does need, as some other reviewers suggested....dried cranberries/diced apple and candied walnuts/pecan and or bacon to help balance the dressing?

The World's Greatest Crab Recipe

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Even though we love crab legs, we have never prepared them at home. Well, this will probably be the only way we fix them in the future. They were SOOO easy & the taste was OUTSTANDING! It didn't even need the side of dipping butter. I used way less garlic because I didn't have enough (and quite frankly thought 1/2 c. was way too much)...but, because you are basing the outside of the shells, you need a lot of garlic. Next time I'll use more garlic. Served with AR's: "Connies Zucchini Crab Cakes" and thought it was a nice compliment. Can't wait for the crab legs to go on sale again!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
I made these as part of a "Dinner Package" I gave away for a fundraiser raffle at our church. Unfortuanlly I hadn't even tasted them before hand...but, with all the great reviews, I hoped they would be good. Well, the winners (who I really didn't know) took the time to track me down and just raved and raved about how they where the best brownies they ever ate! No changes where made to this recipe...followed to the T. Will be making again soon, because now I want to try them!!

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Made exactly as written, but, next time I think I would add raisins and some spices like cinnamon as suggested by other reviewers. This was really easy to put together & would be a great addition to a brunch buffet. As written, it definately can use a dab of whip cream on top.

Courtney's Three Tomato Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
This was really good. I ended up using a 1lb. of Italian Ground Turkey which I had on hand. Half & Half instead of cream. No additional italian seasonings. With these changes it still came out very good & I would imagine if the recipe was followed as written, it would even be better! So easy to put together too for a quick meal.
