About this Cook
I'm a 21 year old SAHM to a 3 month old. I like to cook, though I've just gotten back into it after having my daughter. I love to try out new recipes, DH loves eating them. LOL.
My favorite things to cook
I really like to bake sweets and desserts. Though my favorite foods are comfort foods. Like stews and pasta dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love my mom's roast beef and veggies. Also her lasagna. Both dishes are my favorite comfort foods. Baking cookies for Christmas was always a fun event when I was litte.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that comes out good in my oven is a triumph. It takes alot of adjustng with time and the oven rack to get things cooked well. So when something does come out well it's a huge accomplishment for me. :) LOL.
My cooking tragedies
Umm one time I made sugar cookies the bottoms came out burnt and the tops stayed in little balls. I also burnt peas before, when I first got married and started cooking actual meals. I forgot about them, and they turned into little bb pellets. LOL.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
These tasted salty and had a bitter aftertaste. I Made it exactly as written other than I added more flour at the end to thicken. Will use my regular recipe which, oddly enough, requires less sugar and more baking powder.

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie
It wasn't very sweet. If I make this again I'll use sweeter strawberries. I made it exactly as written and added a little honey to sweeten it after tasting it.

Quick and Easy Home Fries
So easy to do, and I love how it is so versatile. It's easy to add anything you like to it to make suit your taste.
