Cathy's Creamy Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
It was easy to make, pretty good for the simple recipe, but way too salty... I think it was the stuffing I used...

Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
It was good. I followed some reviews - sour cream instead of yogurt, used some flour and some white corn tortillas, Southwest Pepperjack soup instead of chicken soup. Next time I will bake them shorter than 20-30 minutes. The ends got crunchy, and definately didn't taste like enchiladas (my husband even joked that I invented "enchilada-tacoes", but overall meat tasted great...

Chicana

Very good and easy recipe. I'll make it again. I followed some advises and used only half the water (it was juicy enough)and served with flour tortillas. Next time i'll try adding other ingredients - tomatoes, mushrooms, different meat, etc. That's a beauty of this recipe - you can use lots of variations.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2005
Fantastic! I served it with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. Also, i made some adjustments - double olive oil and garlic (i made only 4 breasts, and already used all for dipping), added a little bit of garlic powder in the breadcrumb/cheese mix, and baked a bit longer - 40 min. Delicious! Also, i put some breadcrumb cheese mixture (adding more for each breast) in the Ziploc bag, put chiken breast in it and shook it - easier to evenly cover it in the crumbs. :o)

Crumbed Avocado Steak

i couldn't find scotch file steaks, so i used 'round eye' steaks... It was good. I made more sauce, because amount in the recipe was not enough for 4 steaks. The sause was great...

Cheesy Beef and Bean Bake

No, didn't work for us... Too heavy, also it had this "sweetish" taste to it that i didn't really like... Eatable though...

Chicken with Couscous

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
The dish was very easy to make and tasty. I didn't have fresh ginger, so i put ginger powder into the mixture (i think it was a good substitute...) Also i added a little bit of water to the 1/4 cup of chicken broth. By the way, couscous made in chicken broth and olive oil was delicious (and i am not a very big olive oil fan...)

Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes

Great side dish. We love greens with our dinner, i was getting tired of preparing the same steamed green beans (and other similar veggies)all the time, this was the bomb - easy to make and new taste.

It was quick but very messy to make. Tasted good, but i did not like "the mess in a pan" from all powders...

Beef and Brew

It was easy to make and very delicious. We ate dinner later than planned, because the preparation took a little bit longer than 5 min. You have to keep in mind that veggies need to be cut and chopped, it takes longer than stated, at least for me.

Peachy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2004
My first disappointment... I love peaches, i also love pork, so i thought this recipe will be great. But i expected more tenderness and flavor, it was too bland for me. It's was OK. Quick and easy to make, but i wouldn't hurry to make it again.

Attitude Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2004
Oh my godness! It was great! I think now this will be my new favorite. It's good that i didn't listen to some reviews, that said, there is too much lemon for this recipe: i put one table spoon more for the sauce, ans it wasn't too much... Also, instead of one can of chicken soup, i use one chicken and one mushroom soup (mixed), creamier noodles. Next time definately more mushrooms. This recipe doesn't make 8 servings, no way...But it was delicious!

It was good. To better it, i would use ground pork, instead of beef. Also instead of frozen veggies, i use fresh cooked ones, tastes much better better... And, of course, more soup (2 cans), definately.
