I am a Food and Nutrition teacher. I do what I love! I do not go to work...I go to heaven. However...heaven even has rainy days to make you enjoy the sunny days that much more. I am cajun...I love to cook everything! Gumbo is my favorite. Every year for Christmas my mother, sisters (2), and I have what we fondly refer to as "craft day". We get together and bake, wrap, decorate, and drink spiked coco for a whole day. We then give the goodies to family and friends. SIGH, it is great. Cake decorating! I taught myself the basics at 10 years old and decided to take classes at 25. I am so glad that I did! I have been decorating cakes now for 10 years...it never gets tiring or old. I now teach my Tech students the basics. The first cake I dropped 6 years ago. I had spent about a total of 200 hours working on that cake. I still want to cry thinking about it. I have not dropped a cake since.
