My favorite things to cook
I love baking cookies. I have a new bread machine and I'm having fun finding recipes that use it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My parents didn't really cook when I was a kid. Now that I've moved out and they're retired, they eat nearly every meal out. I don't really have any family cooking traditions so I'm learning the ones from my boyfriend's family and finding my own style.
My cooking triumphs
My greatest triumph to date is serving salad, homemade rolls, and stuffed shells with meatballs. Everything came out at just the right time so that my boyfriend and I could enjoy dinner before I had to run off to and evening class.
My cooking tragedies
When I was just starting to get serious about cooking, I tried to make a cambanzola sauce to go over steamed asparagus. However, I didn't know what cambanzola was and bought asiago thinking it wouldn't make a different. I ended up asiago burned on to my skillet with a puddle of grease on top. I served the asparagus without a sauce.
