Great recipe. You can have some fun with it and alter the taste to suit you by substituting 1 cup honey, 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar, 1 cup dark corn syrup, or 1 cup pure maple syrup in place of the molasses.

These were amazing. From young kids to adults they all loved them. As other people had mentioned I added 1 cup of Ketchup, a tbs of molasses and 2-15 oz cans of Bush’s Best Red Beans in place of the 15 oz of the pork & beans. Also I used ground sausage in place of the ground beef. Definitely a keeper, thank you.
