Amy's Sensational Summer Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
Just one big flavorful party with every bite! I give this 5 stars because it's quick, tasty, healthy, and all 5 members of my family loved it! (3 of them kids, 1 a VERY picky chicken nugget/pizza lover) I made it exactly as written minus the dried cranberries, although that would be awesome to add. Just didn't have any. This will become a regular meal in our home.

Peanut Butter Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
I am the least picky eater and I like all of the ingredients. It just wasn't a right combination. I dipped graham crackers and apple slices in it. Hard to explain the taste, just not very distinct. I'd rather eat each ingredient separately as a dip.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
Deee-lish! I have picky eaters in my home but this dish was snorked down. I didn't have raspberry jam so I used ligonberry jam...the one IKEA sells. I also used the pork chops from Costco but sliced them lengthwise because they are so thick. Usually my pork chops turn out dry and overdone but tonight they were perfect.

Deep Dark Chocolate Souffle

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2004
This was good but I did add 2 ozs of semisweet squares like a previous reviewer suggested. I wasn't sure how cooked it was suppose to be either. I tested it with a toothpick like a cake and it was just a little goopy when I took it out. Was great with Starbucks Java Chip ice cream...but I think anything would be good with that ice cream. You know how if you eat cake or cookies too soon out of the oven you don't get the full flavor of the dessert? It's too hot and sometimes it even tastes better the day after. This dessert is kind of like that. It says to serve immediately but I wonder if you let it sit till it was all the way cool if the flavor would come out more. But I guess the idea of souffles is to serve them warm. All and all it was dee-lish and I would make again but with probably another ounce of bittersweet chocolate. (This is in addition to the cocoa it already calls for.)

Ultimate Frozen Strawberry Margarita

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2004
I could drink a pitcher all to myself! This margarita rocks! I think the frozen strawberries help make it the perfect slushie-like drink. My blender works better if you put the liquids in first and then the ice. I put everything in the blender and whatever room I had left I filled with ice. I made this for a dinner party and went through 3 pitchers! (for only 4 people) Very tasty. Used salt instead of sugar on the rims of the glasses but I'm sure either way is just as good.

Seven Layer Dip I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2004
This dish was good, but not a "wow" to me. It has everything I love in a Mexican dish but there really wasn't a zing to it. I even added taco seasoning to the ground beef. I'm not a big beef eater and would of liked more beans and sour cream, and less meat. Regardless, I took this dish to a potluck and it was gone within the first half hour. It was mainly the men that gave compliments for it too!
