About this Cook
Happily married x 15 years. 4 very energetic children (2 boys and 2 girls)
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new recipes, recreating authentic Korean cooking (my mom is Korean), and making desserts. My husband accuses me of trying to make him fat!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Superbowl Sunday is the traditional Yaki Mandu day. Yaki mandu is a korean dumpling, much like the chinese potsticker. This is the day my daughter (13 year old and complaining for the entire time) and I make approx 250-300 mandu and deep fry them into crispy heaven. My husband does not like to share even though there is enough for a small army.
My cooking tragedies
Ugh, some things need to stay in the closet.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
Very good and very moist. Followed the recipe exactly. My oven is a convection oven and the chicken took only 3 hours to get to the right internal temp. My family loved it!!!

Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake
Really good. I love the richness that the cream cheese adds and all that butter, what more could you ask for? I took half to work and ended up passing out the recipe to everyone. I made a second cake and substituted cocoa powder for the cinnamon (I like CHOCOLATE!!!). It was even better.

Whoopie Pies
I love these especially with a pkg of pudding mix to make it even moister. My kids take these over the oreo cakesters any day.
