Tasty Homemade Calzone

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
I did not like how this turned out. I had never heard of ricotta cheese in a calzone or pizza for that matter so thought I'd give this a try for something different. Should have known when I read it called for steamed veggies, even the best pizzas and calzones in the world don't do this. The crust however was awesome. Sorry

Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
This was excellent. My husband is always raving about his grandma's potato soup, which I have never been able to match, try as I may, so I gave up long ago. She adds spaetzle to her's so I added that to this as well, so he keeps coming back again and again tasting it, then he wakes me up last night at like midnight and says that soup is awesome, better than my grandmas!!! Thanks for sharing :)

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
I had these once at a potluck and was glad to find this recipe, these are so good, my little ones like them also. One thing I'd like to add, a little embarrasing but when I first saw a similar recipe on a jimmy dean package I cooked the sausage first. It didn't specify and I couldn't imagine using raw sausage. Needless to say, they didn't turn out. ;P Anyway thanks for sharing.

We really liked this, I don't like traditional egg salad with all the mayo and big hunks of egg, so this was just what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2004
I don't care for salmon at all, but my husband loves it, so I find myself cooking it alot and looking for a way to cook it that I can stand it. This was just the recipe, this was so good, now even I can't wait to have salmon again, I've made this twice now, the second time I just olive oil, dijon, garlic, and lemon juice. Then topped with crumbs it turned out good also. Thanks so much for sharing

White Cheese Sauce

This was exactly what I was looking for also, I did use less butter as other people suggested and it was very good as an enchilada sauce and we also have used over nachos. Thanks for sharing

Brenda's Pepperoni Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2004
We really liked these, especially the kids. I don't like pounding and rolling chicken, so I butterflied them and put the fillings inside, secured with toothpick and browned for considerably longer, and adjusted the cook time a little as they were thicker this way, same concept, filling wrapped with chicken just without the work. Anyway, thanks for sharing, my kids are already asking when I'm making it again.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2004
What can I say about this that hasn't already been said. I made this for Father's Day breakfast and it was awesome, I didn't read the recipe all the way through and added the brown sugar to the liquid, before I realized it was supposed to be part of the syrup. It turned out great anyway and in the last 15 minutes of baking, I put butter all over it and used bottled syrup. My family is already asking when I'm going to make it again. Thanks for sharing!!

Dutch Letter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2004
This is a great recipe, I got a tip from a baker in my area, who refuses to give out thier recipe, to section the dough in balls and dip each ball lightly in a small bowl of water then pat it down, and definitely use lots of filling, Also I only baked about 12 minutes unitl edges turned golden. It did work and I didn't have to lightly flour or use a rolling pin, both of which I'm not fond of. Thanks for sharing this recipe,

Newport Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2003
This was definitely the best clam chowder I have ever made! My store didn't have fresh clams so I had to use 2 cans of baby clams with the juice, the clam juice was rather expensive so I only bought 1- 8 oz. bottle and substituted 5 cups of chicken broth and it still turned out great!! Thanks so much for sharing
