About this Cook
I love food! All kinds of food! As a personal trainer and fitness yoga instructor I must keep in shape so I just work really hard to be able to eat everything I love! My husband immigrated from Russia so it is whole milk, lots of butter and potatoes in this house.
My favorite things to cook
Cheesecake! Orginal baked new york style. With fruit topping or with oreo crust and a good shot of Kaluha.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband growing up always made his own birthday cake with the help of his mom. This is a tradtion we will defineatly continue with our kids.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to have great everyday meals that are original, tasty and always different. Not a turkey tuesday and meatloaf monday house.
My cooking tragedies
Bread and buns. Maybe it was just that the wheat flour was old and tasted stale but my bakery skills do need help. I even flunk most tries with the bread machine.

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce
It was fabulous! I only had half a block of cream cheese so I added some feta and it worked well. I thought it lacked some colour so I tossed in some chopped red pepper at the very end which added a nice crunch.

Salmon Pasta Salad
Not 'to die for' but defineately very tasty. I recommend this recepie if you want something that tastes quite different from your standard mayo salads. I also added some chopped red bell pepper and sliced mushrooms which worked nicely.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough
Fabulous! One time I made it I completely put it together with sauce , toppings and cheese, resulting in it being soggy. So follow the recipe and cook first without the added moisture! I use a stone baking sheet with sides (bar pan) and it never sticks even without extra oiling. Good quality bakeware makes all the difference.
