About this Cook
I am a mother of 2 kids, 4 year old son and a 9 month old daughter. I am soon to be engaged to my boyfriend who is in the military. I love to spend time with my family and find new and exciting dinners to cook and get the ratings from my family!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook a good steak! Who doesn't? I also love throwing things together in a crock pot. I am more for comfort foods, but down to try anything new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is a pro at making German pancakes! I need to learn, so it isnt a tradition yet. My mom is from Germany, so she will be a tough act to follow.
My cooking triumphs
When a new dish comes out fantastic because I always incorporate my own ingredients and twists on whatever I make!
My cooking tragedies
Um, mostly with cooking rice. Like whole grain and wild rice. I never seem to get it to the right texture, dont ask me why!

Cheeseburger Pasta
My family and I really enjoyed this. I crock potted my meal. I let the hamburger cook in the crock pot, then drained fat, added the soup and water, then the noodles the last 30 minutes ( I also used egg noodles) and then threw in some shredded cheese. Will make again on a busy day.

Red Skinned Potato Salad
Very tasty!! I added ranch, omitted the celery because my family does not like it, used red onions, added seasonings, and shredded cheese. Very good, like one review had stated, it was like a baked potato salad. YUMM! Will make again in the future.

Baked Dijon Salmon
I really enjoyed this recipe for salmon. I am lucky because I get to go down the road and catch salmon and bring it home and clean it and cook it up. I live in Alaska. I am constantly looking for more recipes for salmon. I may add some mayo to this recipe when used in the future. I too used italian breadcrumbs instead of regular.
