I am once again a resident of Upstate NY. My heart is in nowhere indiana, but my life is here, so...I have a daughter that is my world and two dogs that take a lot of my time as they are a part of the family. I love to cook Italian. It is fun and you really can't mess it up too badly. I also like to make new and different things with my daughter. She likes the kitty litter cake and things like it. Anything to freak out the family members. Kolaches at Christmas. My mother and I have made them for as long as I can remember. When mom got sick last year, she taught my daughter how to last Christmas my daughter and I made them. It is a nice way to remember mom. I made my own wedding cake. It was four tiers and the decorations matched my dress almost exactly. It was probably my best work in the kitchen. The lasagne that wasn't. I was making dinner for my husband's co workers and must have bumped the oven controls. The lasagne was blackened to say the least. I had to run out to the local Italian restaurant and get take out before the guests arrived.
