My favorite things to cook
Chili and cornbread is probably my family's favorite meal. I however, can get them to try anything that I make.
My favorite family cooking traditions
As far as family traditions, we do turkey and ham on Thanksgiving, lamb on Easter, hamburgers and steaks for the 4th of July. My son likes to bake and my daughter knows how to open a can of tuna (not the family cook).
My cooking triumphs
I did a dinner party for 24. It was surf and turf Midwestern Style. I grilled fresh lake salmon and pork tenderlion. The salmon was brushed with a little oil and lemon pepper and served with a cucumber and mint puree on the side. The pork was also grilled and served with a Jezebel sauce. Vegetable kabobs, and cool baby green salad rounded out the buffet. The Presentation was almost as spectacular as the meal itself.
My cooking tragedies
I made a fish bake with wild rice and some kind of a sauce that made my family gag and No One could eat.
