About this Cook
Hi there! Right now, I'm 14 and I love cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking cakes! Also, making lunch is pretty fun too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always eat Asian Vietnamese food for dinner, so I like to make European, mostly Italian food for lunch
My cooking triumphs
I'm really proud of my White Chocolate Cheesecake, which was the first cheesecake I ever made. But recently, everyone's asking me for Vanimuffins (a recipe I found and adjusted), or the One-Bowl Chocolate cake. Actually, the latter is always requested at birthdays. I've made it for 2 people already and I have to make 2 more next week alone. :)
My cooking tragedies
My worst cake was when I was 10. I tried to make my first ever cake without using ready cake mix. It was a spongecake and I did not know the technique, so it ended up completely flat and hard, but I fixed it by baking it a second time, making it into a big cookie! Then, when I was 12 I tried to make a butterscotch brownie cake. Disaster. But it got eaten by my friend, who really doesn't care what she eats. She trusts me, apparently :) She hasn't ever gotten food poisoning yet.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III
AMAZING. I'm 14 and I made this for my friend's birthday 2 days ago. The SMELL of it was sooo chocolate-y (although maybe that's because I added some Ganache) that she took it out to share during lunchtime at school. All my friends loved it and now I need to bake 2 more for 2 people's birthdays... both next month! Oh, and I just want to say that after adding the water, the batter is REALLY runny but I found that adding any more flour to it makes it too heavy. And I added 3 tablespoons more of cocoa. Sifted, of course. Perfection!

Creamy Caramel Flan
Oh my God. I searched for "flans" after my granny made me her Vietnamese/French (she's Viet-French) flan. I got addicted to it, and wanted to make it on my own. She wouldn't leave me the recipe, saying it was too hard for a 13 year-old, so I found this recipe instead. It came out beautifully, and now my granny is jealous! Also, I would add extra vanilla and maybe extra milk. Topped with vanilla ice-cream, this flan is blisssssss!

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies
this recipe was NOT good. The cookies came out way too chewy and hardened straight away. My granny nearly broke her tooth on the hardened cookie.
