Speedy Oven Fudge

Easy! Easy! Easy! Added in mint flavoring in. Since it's the holidays, may try adding crushed candy canes or peppermints. Will definitely be making more this season (and beyond)!

Sweet Grilled Peaches

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
This is one of those "why didn't I think of that?" recipes. So easy - yet so good! Did with fresh peaches and added butter per suggestion of one of the other reviews. Served this with ice cream. The perfect complement to the rest of my grilled dinner!

Ground Beef Bar-b-que

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Made as a loose burger (Manwich-style). Substituted soy sauce for worsh. Added garlic powder. Served to kids over rice. Served for myself over chopped, raw spinach. Even my picky eater cleaned her bowl! Needs a little kick (probably would have come from the worch, but was out). Next time will add a little pepper or try doing with bbq sauce instead of ketchup. Otherwise, fast and so easy to do. Has been added to my recipe box!

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
Very easy to do. My family doesn't like spice (aka hot). Used paprika instead of cayenne. Used barbeque sauce instead of pepper sauce. Even my picky eater loved these. Have saved it to my recipe box. Will definitely do again - playing with different flavorings.

Easy Baked Chicken Wings

Very yummy. Used boneless chicken breasts cut into strips (and skipped the MSG). Even my pickiest eater raved about them!

Easy Yet Romantic Filet Mignon

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
So, so simple and even my picky eater loved it! And for anyone else trying this recipe... I didn't use filet mignon, but a similar cut of meat and was out of onion powder and used garlic powder (my family likes garlic better anyway). My local grocery store didn't have shallots. I used green onions. Sprinkled some of the onions on the meat, sauteed the rest of the stalks with mushrooms and added on top after taking out of the oven. This was so easy to do. Meat was tender, flavorful. I'll use this recipe again!

Frogmore Stew

This is great for my family - a little something for everyone (including the member on the no-carb South Beach diet and the family "picky eater" that everyone has!). Used kielbasa instead of hot sausage - perfect!

Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
Such a great and easy recipe... Just mix, knead, rest, and roll. I sat my 7 year old and 3 year old down with the rolled out dough and a pair of tiny cookie cutters (a star and gingerbread man) - these were only a couple of inches across at most. They had a great time cutting out the shapes which made a fun addition to our chicken and vegetable soup. As to taste... My 7 year old is a picky eater, but loved these noodles! My mother-in-law, who believes herself to be the world's best cook, also liked them. This recipe is a keeper!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2006
Yum! Follow the advice of others to add butter in with the vanilla. Didn't have corn starch on hand, so used A/P flour instead - worked fine. My 2 yr old doesn't like store bought pudding, but devoured this! Will definitely be making this for my family often! Thanks for sharing!

Corn Tortillas

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
Easy. Easy. Easy. One of my kids wanted breakfast burritos. Got ready to make them when I found we were out of tortillas. Did have masa harina in the pantry. So simple to do. I didn't wait the 30 minutes it recommended and they came out fine. Next time, I'll add a little salt. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Pork Empanadas

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
Was okay. A little bland. The dough was a little dry when fixed exactly according to directions. Next time, will make sure that the dough is more moist and will add more flavorings into the filling. Oh, and I used pork chops instead of a pork butt. Still, my kids liked them. They're very easy to handle without utensils and will be great on the go (think "Hot Pockets"). Thanks for sharing this recipe. Will let you know how they turn out the next time I make them and any adjustments I'll make.

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Yum. Added cinnamon, nutmeg, curry, and fajita seasoning. Used orange juice instead of wine. My kids loved it (and one of them is VERY picky!)! Next time will add raisins.

Oven Fried Chicken III

In a word - YUM! I'm not a fan of mayo, but this was DELICIOUS! BTW, I used crushed saltines instead of bread crumbs - still very good! Thanks for posting this recipe. I've already sent e-cards to several of my friends!
