About this Cook
I am a dental hygienist. I am married with 2 children. Nearly 4 years ago I started a home based business called Cooking Club. I research and compile a monthly recipe menu offering 8-12 items. Participants meet at my house to assemble the ingredients needed in a gallon-sized ziploc bag for each entree ordered. For people more pressed for time, I assemble everything for them to just pick-up. The business is a great opportunity for women to gather and enjoy healthy fellowship while being productive! After starting with just 4 women, I have 80 people on my email list!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking for my family and enjoying a great meal together!! I am always on the lookout for a new recipe and learning new techniques! I LOVE Allrecipes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Frosted sugar cookies and homemade stuffing at Christmas and BBQ ribs on July 4th.
My cooking triumphs
Making a meal that my family prefers to a restaurant!
My cooking tragedies
Thought you could boil eggs in the microwave...NOT!! The eggs exploded, shot the micowave door open and sprayed the entire kitchen. The kitchen was a complete mess and the mircowave door was damaged!!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Wow. I hate to give a bad rating, but these were awful. I followed the recipe exactly and I will never make them again. They were crumbly and tasted like egg! I have been making sugar cookies for decades and decided to try a new recipe for fun. The best sugar cookies are made from the Better Homes and Garden Cookbook (another reader said the same).

Day Before Mashed Potatoes
I've been making my mashed potatoes this way for years! They are divine! The only difference is that I do add some milk (to get to the preferred consistency), and instead of the onion powder, I add 1-2 teaspoons of Lawry's seasoning salt. I get rave reviews each time!
