Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
It's a very good recipe but only 4 stars since I tweaked it so much: 1 c. onion, not 2; 1 1/2 c. cheese, not 3; I added the broccoli the same time as the potatoes --didn't pre-cook it; 1 garlic chopped, sautéd with the onion; added a little milk and flour to thicken slightly.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
They were good, but I was expecting a thicker cookie. Mine spread out quite thin.

French Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Can't give the recipe a 5 just for the fact that I had to tweak it a bit: I used only 5 c. of flour (thus, the bread is not so dense as some reviewers have said). I added a little sugar (2 tsp.) so the yeast will rise better and also for taste.

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This is a good dinner roll -- light and fluffy, but NOT a croissant! I brushed egg on the rolls before putting them in the oven -- for a more golden color. I used canola oil for the shortening.

Baby Loin Back Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This is a bit time consuming, but so worth the effort. -- probably THE best rib recipe. When you don't need to tweak the recipe at all, it's worth a 5 star rating. Just watch your ribs so they don't dry out.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Delicious! I used a Pampered Chef Chipotle seasoning --only 1 1/2 tablespoons. Three would have been too much. I also rubbed the rub on instead of shaking it on in a bag. A quick, good meal!

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
I like cream sauces so I thought this recipe was good. I did tweak it a bit: sautéd onions and garlic instead of carrots, used milk and a bit of sugar instead of cream and then added a bit more flour to thicken, 1 tsp. basil instead of 1 Tbsp. Added a bit of salt too.

Asparagus Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
A great appetizer, easy and quick to make. I boiled the asparagus only 5-6 minutes --otherwise it's too soft. The best bread to use is the worst nutritionally for you!! --you know, the white sandwich bread that keeps soft forever? It easily rolls out very thin which is what you want. I tried Italian fresh bread and it didn't work as well. Make sure you sprinkle the cheese on top before baking. That gives it a good flavor.

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
This sauce is what a roasted red pepper cream sauce should taste like! - it was absolutely delicious. I did tweak the recipe a bit the second time around: 4 large red bell peppers instead of 2; 2 c. organic whole milk instead of the 2 c. 1/2 & 1/2; 2 tsp. dried basil. Even my husband who is NOT a cream sauce fan really loved this recipe.
