About this Cook
I have always loved cooking, and I have been a chefs apprentice and cooked in country clubs and hotels. But now my cooking is stictly for my family and entertainment. I get so much joy from people enjoying my food.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake...but I also love to do ethnic dishes, cuban, mexican, thai!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom spent 6 months in England before I was born. I have always loved making toads in a hole.
My cooking triumphs
When I was 12 I successfully made a souflee on my first attempt
My cooking tragedies
When I was 6 years old my mom let me experiment. I tried to make muffins, and just kept adding ingridents. It got so late that I had to resume my recipe the next day. It took the muffins over 2 hours to cook, and they tasted awful!

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce
This has real authentic flavor. The secret is using really good chili powder! I have made this with chicken, beef, and vegetable enchiladas...if you like good real Mexican food...use this sauce. If your idea of good Mexican food is On the Border....skip it.

Butter Bean Burgers
These taste really good, I also put them in the freezer for a bit, and dredge them in breadcrumbs before cooking.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes
I have been playing around with pancakes for sometime now. My only complaint about this recipe is adjusting it is a little tricky. Make sure you always use REAL buttermilk, and not milk with an acid added. Other then that it is by far and away the best freaking pancake.
