About this Cook
I love to cook! I think it's a combo from my mom and dad. My mom likes to cook and my dad likes to bake. I've learned the basics from my mom and went from there!
My favorite things to cook
I always love to try new things! My favorites are always changing... That's why I love this website!
My favorite family cooking traditions
At Chirstmas time, my mom, sister and I bake 3-4 treats and then get together and assemble neighbor plates! It's fun to get together (without kids!) and taste what each other has made and spend time together. The best reward is when a neighbor tells you how yummy the plate was!
My cooking triumphs
Fried Ice Cream!! It was a hit!
My cooking tragedies
Frying donuts! I'll maybe attempt it again...

Cake Batter Ice Cream
This ice cream is SO yummy! It was the perfect creaminess! Not too thick! I thought the cake batter taste wasn't too strong, you could maybe add a litte more, but I thought it was good as it. The only difference I did was use vanilla bean paste in place of the vanilla extract. I do that with all my homemade ice cream. This recipe is for sure a keeper that I will make again and again!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast
I love that this recipe makes its own gravy! Instead of water I use beef broth and I did 1 can cream of mushroom and 1 can cream of celery. I don't like mushrooms, but this is pretty tasty!

Chocolate Banana Bread
These are SO good!! I did make some changes due to ingredients I had on hand. I used butter, b/c I never use margarine. I did 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. I did a heaping 1/4 cup of cocoa powder. I did half sour cream and half FF vanilla yogurt b/c that's all I had. I also added 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp salt. I also added 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips. I baked these in a mini muffin tin for 13 mins. I used my little cookie scoop to fill muffin tins. They are SO yummy! I will be making this often!
