About this Cook
First and most important I am a Christian, who loves Jesus! I am a horsewoman, avid reader, dog lover, great thrift shopper and love Tequilla on ice with lime occasionally. I create published historical geneology and photo books for clients. I am learning to be a marksman too.
My favorite things to cook
Yeast breads, quiche, chocolate desserts, my mother-in-laws "Lush" dessert and cooking with my son, Nathan.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Clam chowder on Christmas eve, eating only strawberry shortcake for supper, my Mom's recipe for Southern biscuits and opening a special bottle of expensive wine on any Holiday.
My cooking triumphs
Catching my oven on fire, when I was at 18 years old, while making Sticky Buns for my new husband. My mother-in-law didn't mention she saw that the fire department had visited my home, after reading about the event in the local newspaper, until 20 years later. Great women!
My cooking tragedies
Trying to fix my mother's favorite birthday cake, when she was very sick with cancer and having it "fall". She was such a great lady, she ate it anyway with her usual big smile!

Cranberry Gelatin Salad
This recipe can easily be used for a refreshing dessert. Serve with gelatin set in champagne glasses and top with whipped cream. Top with a pecan half. Use all the fruit(s)drained liquid to create a portion of the liquid required in this recipe. The flavor will be enhanced! Leave nuts out of the recipe for those who do not care for nuts!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
Our family raved about this stuffing! We used turkey link sausages and squeezed the ground meat out of the casings and browned it with the veggies. I prepared everything the night before, except the bread portion, so the herbs could meld with the meat overnight. We left out the liver! Will definitely use this again!
