Yogurt Parfait

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Great quick dessert! My blackberries were a bit tart so this was a good way to sweeten them up without a bunch of sugar. All I had was strawberry yogurt so that is what I used. The hungry teen devoured this in a couple of bites and wanted more, too bad I was out of berries.

Strawberry Peach Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
This was good. I did have to add some sugar though to the cream cheese/OJ mix because after tasting it, it was too tangy sour orangey and needed it to tame the orange juice some, though that may have been due to the brand of OJ I used. Thanks!

Herbed Cream Cheese Omelet

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
This didn't work out for me at all. The cream cheese got too "mushy" when hot and I didn't like the texture. I also didn't like the soapy flavor the cilantro gave this. I think I'll just stay with the traditional melting type cheeses in the future.

Great little snack, but really messy to eat. Not an indoor food for little fingers unless you don't minds lots of sticky melted marshmallow and chocolate everywhere.

Baby Spinach Omelet

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
Excellent flavor! I loved this. I really liked the nutmeg flavor with the eggs so I sprinkled quite a bit more on my plate. I didn't think I would even like the spinach and was expecting to be picking it out on my plate, but that didn't happen. In fact, I even liked it and will definitely make these again! Thanks for the great recipe!

German French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
Hmmmm.... not bad. Actually it was a bit dry at first and I wasn't sure what condiment to use, but I tried Mrs. Butterworth's syrup and it turned out great with that on top. The Muenster doesn't have much flavor, it blends right in and this was really pretty good.

Maple Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
This was great. I really liked the maple flavor as it took honey butter to another level. Our stores here don't carry maple flavor for whatever reason, so I used pure maple syrup instead. This is so much better than just honey butter, thanks!

Great on a warm biscuit fresh from the oven. That's how I ate this. Good and simple.

Herbed Cheese Omelet

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
Amazing flavor. I really didn't expect to like this one as it just sounded too weird with celery seed in eggs?!? but, after the first bite, I was amazed. Totally. I'm so glad I didn't change anything and ventured forth to try this as written. I did cut this down to 1 serving though. Very very good! Thanks.

Muenster-Bacon Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
This was pretty good overall. I only ate half because it is so filling and fairly rich tasting too. I used hickory smoked Muenster cheese and hickory smoked bacon and smoked Provolone cheese. Good flavor in this dish and it was really easy to prepare. My husband and son both made positive comments about this. Thanks!

Blueberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
This was okay, but nothing special. I didn't care for the dressing at all and ended up using another dressing instead to be able to eat this. This dressing wasn't good at all with this. Sorry for the poor review, but I've made and eaten much better blueberry and spinach salads than this one.

Spinach Salad With Berries and Curry Dressing

This was a fabulous salad! The dressing was spicy and had some kick to it. I used red curry powder and chives instead of sweet onion. The dressing really made this salad special so definitely make it. DELICIOUS!!!!

This was a great quick dessert. My husband raved over this dish! I added some blackberries too. I didn't have wheat germ and used crushed nuts instead.

Bacon Jack Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
Hot and spicy. I used precooked chicken and sprinkled the poultry seasoning over it. After trying several condiments I found that Russian dressing went the best with this and Ranch was a close second. Thousand Island might be good too as it needs a creamy based dressing to tame the pepperjack cheese. Thanks this is a great sandwich!

Sunflower Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
This was a wonderful combination of textures and flavors! I thought the celery sounded odd, but it all went so well together and after 1 bite, I see why this is such a hit. I didn't have sunflower seeds so I used some toasted almond slivers instead. This made an excellent lunch. Thank You!

The Earl's Sandwich

Pretty decent sandwich. I don't really like Russian dressing but it worked well in this. The hungry teen liked it too. For myself the next time I'm going to try Catalina French dressing instead since Russian isn't my preference. Quick, easy, and tastes good.

Banana Boats

What a blast from the past. I used to make these in Girl Scouts when I was little. This was good. I cooked this for 15 minutes in a 350* oven and it still wasn't quite melty, but enough to eat and I just couldn't ask the family to wait any longer.

Carrots in Dill Butter

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
I loved the flavor on these. My husband wouldn't try them though, too bad for him, he missed out on a great dish. I used baby carrots and didn't have dill seed so I used dill weed instead. I microwaved them per steam-in package directions instead of boiling and just added the rest after they were cooked. This is an excellent way to fix carrots, thanks!

Great sandwich. I mixed the horseradish and the mayo together and then spread it on the bottom piece of bread. I also used spicy brown mustard and some cracked black pepper on the other side. Topped with some crisp green leaf lettuce leaves and this was ready to eat. Very good, thanks!
