About this Cook
I am a scientist in the kitchen! I just love creating new and improving old recipes. I will try almost anything, and love to "wow" people with my creations. My only wish is that I had more time to spend with my "experiments".
My favorite things to cook
I just love grilled anything. It gives such a wonderful flavour, and no need for extra fat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grandmas beef stew and Dads spaghetti! My grandmother used to make johnny cake for me all the time and i still love it!
My cooking triumphs
I perfected a chicken soup that I will make for many years to come.
My cooking tragedies
When I am in the kitchen and I get a "feeling", I will just go with it. Sometimes I make something fantastic, but in the end I can't quite remember how it was made. It can be super frustrating!

Greek Garlic-Lemon Potatoes
These potatoes are definitely a "go to" for our family. We prefer rosemary to the oregano, and I use chicken broth as suggested by another review instead of the water, without adding any additional salt. What a great recipe, thank you!

Banana Crumb Muffins
I added the vanilla & spice as others suggested. 2 of my 3 bananas were un-usable, so I substituted a melted all-natural, frozen strawberry bar. And I forgot to add the flour to the topping. And they turned out fantastic! These turned my terrible day into terrific!

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios
These are such a wonderful change from my brussels sprouts and cheese sauce. Even my spouse will eat them!
