I am a newly married woman, recently graduated from college with a degree in dietetics and I have such a passion for cooking! I also have a foodie blog which I frequently spend time posting pictures and recipes of my latest creations. Check me out! www.chocolatebroc.blogspot.com
My favorite things to cook
Anything that sparks the creativity in me. When I was first learning to cook/bake I did well with following recipes and creating beautiful desserts. As I have gained confidence in the kitchen, I have now become more interested in actual cooking rather than baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Since becoming married, My hubby and I have developed small traditions with his immeadiate family. We have made it a tradition to do a big dinner with appetizers, salad, main course and dessert to celebrate a special occasion rather than go out to eat. Christmas morning breakfast with strawberry mimosas is also another one that has just fallen into place since we married in 2005. This past Christmas is was sausage balls and French Toast with homemade bread and fresh fruit. Delicious!!
My cooking triumphs
I make an Almond Secented White Cake that I am famous for in my family! It is always a hit and I never go home with left overs of this 3 layer cake!
My cooking tragedies
I was making a cake for a housewarming party and it turned out horribly! So, I made another and it turned out better, but, while icing it, it tumbled to the kitchen floor!! Big mess..I did not bring my good friends a cake..I brought them quick bread instead!
