I have made this several times - we really like it with the raspberry. I also add chopped walnuts or pecans on top. It's dreammmyyy...

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
This is the most amazing soup! I usually don't like to suggest additions to someone's recipe but ok... just this once. I added fresh ginger, garlic, cilantro, lots more curry powder than called for, cooked rice I had left over and a can of coconut milk at the end. I also grated a whole red apple and simmered it with the veggies. Thank you so much for making our taste buds very, very, happy!

Chinese Sesame Noodle Salad

Excellent! I made for friends that were visiting from Canada and they had to make sure they went home with the recipe. The only thing I did differently was to blanch the red pepper with the broccoli. My grown children LOVE it. Thank you!

Really loved the taste of the "gravy". We probably liked it better having the chicken on the side but nonetheless, a real keeper!

Best Guacamole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
I am giving this 5 stars because my son and his girlfriend inhaled it! They thought it was the best they have ever had. I really liked it as well, but preferred to add a little garlic, a little salsa and a heaping teaspoon of mayonaisse (the southern in me).

Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies

So addictive! These were absolutely wonderful! The only thing I did differently was to use all butterscotch chips and bake exactly 22 minutes. They are easier to cut when totally cooled but who can wait that long?? Thank you for a definite KEEPER recipe!

Avocado Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2007
I made this for an Easter brunch. I accidently bought chopped black olives instead of sliced and used fresh cilantro instead of oregano. Otherwise kept everything else the same. It was the ultimate hit! Everyone just parked themselves around the bowl and did not get up until it was all gone. Everyone wanted the recipe! Thank you for such a great recipe!

Curried Spinach Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2007
I am reviewing this again because I changed the four stars to five with a few changes I added. It was wonderful before but for my taste I have tweeked it with the following: I sauteed 2 cloves of garlic with the onions then added the spinach, along with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper until completely cooked. I used two potatoes reserving 1/2. Threw all together and used an emulsion blender to puree. Added the sour cream mixture then added the reserved potatoes and used a potato masher to break them up which added some texture. (Also used madras curry). My friends and family now BEG me to make this frequently. Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

Mexican Bean Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2006
Delicious! I, too, as some as the others did, substituted diced green chiles instead of the jalapeno. I also omitted the green pepper and added 1 12 oz. can of Mexicorn which has peppers and onions in it. Added more cheese as that's what the kids like! Will definitely make again. Thank you!

Naan

This was fantasic! I have made twice now, one with garlic and one without. I like the one without as you can brush on garlic butter or as my son did, cinnamon and sugar. For people that said it did not bubble, you do have to roll it very thin. I then cooked in a large heavy pan using olive oil before cooking each one. I refrigerated left over uncooked ones and they bubbled up even better. Thank you so much for this fantastic bread!!
