I am a 30-something female firefighter/paramedic. I started baking when I was old enough to reach my Mom's counter top. I am one of the cooks at the fire station. My husband is a farmer and I cook dinner for the help on the farm. ANY DESERT! Cheesecake, cookies, pies!! Italian dishes, casseroles, pasta and cheese! MAKE IT FROM SCRATCH! Store bought stinks! My family has a home cooked meal every night. I once made meatloaf and amcaroni and cheese when I first got to the fire station. The oven way under cooked, so we microwaved, grilled and baked 5lbs of meat loaf. I accidently used heavy whipping cream instead of half and half so we had SWEET mac and cheese.
