About this Cook
I am a college student who has grown to love cooking over the past few years. Living in a large family, with three younger sisters, it is hard for my mom to always cook dinner while running the kids to all the places they have to be. So, I learned to step in and start making dinner about once or twice a weeek. Now that I am away at college, I love every chance I have to cook when I come back home!
My favorite things to cook
I love putting together whole meals from the appetizers to the desserts! Anything and everything, I just love to cook what sounds good to me!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holidays are big family gathering times for my family and lots of cooking always goes on since we have many mouths to feed! Italian foods are especially important to my family as we are part Italian. On the other side of the family however, my grandparents both are from Estonia so they love cooking and teaching me the recipes they grew up with!
My cooking triumphs
Making a salmon dinner for all of my mom's family when I was home for a weekend from school. I made appetizers, side dishes, the main course, and dessert! Everyone loved all the food and comlimented everything which made me feel like I had done a great job!
My cooking tragedies
I was trying to make cookies for my older brother one time when I was younger. The batch was suppossed to be doubled...but somehow I forgot to double something ( I think it was the flour)...but when the cookies came out of the oven, they were pretty much transparent because they were so thin. They all just ended up as cookie crumbs!

Thai Peanut Chicken
Was excellent!! I love peanuts in my stir fry...and making the extra "sauce" is a definite!! Put a bunch of fresh veggies (snow peas, yellow and orange peppers, broccoli) and its great over rice! Will definitly make again!
