I have never eaten a macaroon, let along baked them, so I had no idea if they came out right. I thought they were a little on the sweet side, so next time i think I'll cut back on the amount of sugar. Shared them with friends and received rave reviews. I will definitely make these again.

I made some changes to this recipe.. but i used it as a base. I used 90% lean ground beef, added onion, 3 cloves garlic, green bell pepper, fresh diced tomatoes, red kidney beans, black beans, and taco seasoning. I layered the meat mixture, shredded cheddar/monterey jack cheese and tortillas ending with cheese on top in a 9x13 pan. Served with sour cream, salsa, and tortilla chips on the side. I knew it was a hit when they went back for 3rds.
