I love cooking, but wish I had more time to do it! I love trying new recipes, and never hesitate to take a new dish to a potluck or family gathering. I enjoy baking (especially bread of all types)! I love Italian, so I tend to try a lot of pasta recipes! I also enjoy trying ethnic recipes (Mexican, Indian, etc.) Almost anything is better if it's homemade! Christmas morning brunch always includes my homemade cinnamon buns (by request) each year! I've been told I make great tarts/pies & pastry..... I once decorated a cake for my daughter's birthday that was supposed to look like a big hamburger - it took me forever to decorate it, but it was pretty impressive looking - I honestly could not believe I had done it myself! I've had a difficult time perfecting "flan". On one occasion, when attempting to make a flan for a Mexican theme party I was hosting, I believe I made the caramel three times before finally settling for a less than perfect outcome! In the end, it was fine, but not quite what I had hoped for.......
