About this Cook
I love to cook! It's all about flavor for me. If the flavor isn't right, what's the use in eating it?!! When I cook for dinner guests, I want them to feel like they are being treated to something special. Not that it's all that fancy, just made with attention and the love that I have for them and for cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking cookies and cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving!!!!! We all bring a dish. It's all good!!
My cooking triumphs
A triumph for me is whenever I cook for others and they love what I cook. People ask for my baked goods and are excited when I bring them to get-togethers. My husband thinks I'm the best cook there is -- that is a triumph for me!
My cooking tragedies
Let's see: cake for bake off broke when I removed it from the pan (I still won!!). Dry Thanksgiving turkey!

Slow Cooker London Broil
Absolutely delicious!! Very flavorful, and tender. Will make again. I followed recipe as written but did add about a half a cup of beef broth that I had left over.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken
I didn't care for the flavor of this recipe much but I'm giving it three stars because the chicken came out very moist. My husband enjoyed the flavor but I found the bread crumb flavor to be a bit overwhelming. If I make this again, I will use more cheese and less breadcrumbs.

Southern Peach Cobbler
A very good recipe. Since peaches are not yet in season where I live, I had to use canned peaches -- they worked just fine. If you use canned peaches, drain them thoroughly and cut back a little on the sugar. I also doubled the crust recipe because I like a cobbler with lots of crust (to me it's the best part!!) I'll definitely make this cobbler again.
