I liked this cake & had fun making it. It is more dense than I expected for a pound cake. Greased pan with Crisco and floured with cocoa powder - no issues coming out of pan. After 60 min toothpick was not clean. Gave 10 more min & pick was clean, however there was a fudgy layer running thru near the top. Maybe it needed a bit more time?

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

3 little girls polished off almost the entire batch of these Super Bowl Sunday. We three adults each got a couple, however. I poured the brown sugar in a bowl and stirred the smokies around in it before rolling in the bacon. I didn't use much more brown sugar when I baked them. They are fabulous!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

This recipe makes a great oatmeal cookie! However, I found if you hold the dough overnight in the fridge, the cookies don't bake up as well; They are not as soft as they should be and that's what this recipe is all about!

Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake

I haven't read any of the other reviews for this one. I made this for an office gathering and got no less than 5 marriage proposals. I thought the crust was a bit thin. I will use 1.5 to 2 cups of oreos next time. It was truly fabulous and easy. Thanks for sharing.

Peanut Brittle Bars

Thank you Kristin for posting this recipe. I was just about to make a batch (I make them every year at Christmas) and couldn't find my recipe! What horror! I couldn't imagine being without this recipe. These are fabulous and no one should wait till the Holidays to make them!

Chocolate Caramels

I haven't made this recipe, however, I was going to; had all the ingredients ready. The recipe says to pour into prepared pan. No where does it say how to prepare the pan or what size, etc. #2 instruction says to LIFT from pan; remove foil. Hmmm.

Kielbasa with Honey Mustard

Beef Burger Pie with Cheese Puff

This was a great recipe. I liked it. My husband liked it. My 6-year-old daughter didn't like it, but she doesn't like anything if it isn't macaroni and cheese.
