Asian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
Even my meat and potatoes husband really enjoyed this soup! It was a nice change from the everyday kind of meal in our house! I did use more broth and used sugar in place of the rice wine. YUMMY!!

Pineapple Bread Souffle

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I must have done something very wrong with this recipe. I thought it was just terrible. I did use fresh pineapple. Maybe that was the difference. I tried quite a few things to salvage the ingredients, but it just didn't work. I love bread/fruit combos and thought this would be great. I just ended up with a mushy mess.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Without a doubt, this is the best cobbler recipe I have found! Most end up cake-y or like a crisp. This is what a Texas girl calls a cobbler! Love it in the cast-iron skillet, too. The second time I made it I did cut down on the sugar, but I think that just depends on how sweet the blackberries are. I also add a little cinnamon to the flour mixture. I can't wait to try this recipe with fresh peaches, too!!! YUMMMMO!!!!

Tomato Cucumber Salad with Mint

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
I like this - it's different! Very good summer dish. I did the mint to taste instead of the listed amount. I had tomatoes on hand from my local farmers market, but I can't wait to make this with cucumbers and tomatoes out my garden this summer. My mint was fresh cut out of my garden, too (it was pretty strong!). It is a pretty salad, too! YUM!!

I also add taco seasoning for a little more flavor. I like this recipe for something a little different.

Tortilla Rollups IV

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
I like these! The flavor is pretty vibrant, but I like that! I even added a little bit of fresh, chopped cilantro. I am probably the worst at making rollups pretty, but I sure did like the way these tasted!! They would go great with a mexican fiesta themed party!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
My husband and I both LOVED the flavor this recipe gave our taco meat! It just tasted real - it's funny how you start to taste all the artificial ingredients after you have really good natural recipes!! I will go a touch lighter on the salt next time.

Cracked Sugar Cookies II

I loved these! Simple and tasty. Only change I made was because I didn't have enough shortening. I did half shortening and half butter. They were great! I will definitely use again!

I liked this very much! I would make it again, but I would not say it's the best I have ever had! Nice change, though, from your typical zucchini bread!

Very, very good! They go fast! I didn't think they would be very good once they sat for a while, but I was wrong! They are still wonderful after they sit a while. Perfect for a football party. Also, they are VERY filling!

Probably the best fish dish I have ever had! My husband made it with his catch of the day (grouper and amberjack). I told him that meals like this will get him all the passes he wants to go fishing!!
