About this Cook
I'm a half Japanese, half Irish American and proud of it! I've live most of my life overseas but proudly claim my citizenship to the land of the free! I'm a health freak and I'm very active, in fact I am training for my first triathlon!
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE baking! :) I'm learning to like new things and more veggies. I'm an athlete so I'm constantly looking for good heathly recipes to fuel my body properly. Unfortunately I have a HUGE addiction to sweets:)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is Japanes and cooks food from all over the world. She's the type of woman who can taste something at a resturant and say "Yea, I can make that" and Make it better than the resturant did! I'm not up to that level but I am sure hoping to get there someday.
My cooking triumphs
I'm good at baking desserts. Oatmeal cookies, muffins, brownies YUM!
My cooking tragedies
I'm not so good at the main dishes, they lack that professional and homely quality, I think my timing is all off, but the more I do it the better I get!

Bruschetta Chicken Bake
I used diced tomatos with garlic and onion and I thought it was fabulous. It was easy to make no fuss no muss. I might add a little more tomatos though.

Green Tea Layer Cake
I thought this was great! I did the cake recipe exactly as follows and I made a sheet cake which I made into a jelly roll with lite cool whip. It was really great. The icing was a little for this cake and the cool whip was perfect. Don't over bake!
